Father and Daughter Duo Create History by Flying in Same Formation of Hawk 132 Aircraft

A father and daughter duo created history by flying in the same formation of a Hawk -132 at the Bidar station in Karnataka.
The sortie however took place on May 30 according to the Indian Air Force.

Reports suggest that Ananya was selected for training in the IAF as a fighter pilot after she completed B Tech in Electronics and Communication.
Her father however is an experienced pilot who has been serving in the Air Force since 1989. He has years of experience in fighter operations.
The IAF wrote in a release, “There has not been any previous instance in the Indian Air Force where a father and his daughter were part of the same fighter formation for a mission.”
A tweet shared by the Gujarat division of defence ministry stated, “ Flew in same formation of Hawk-132 at Air Force Stn Bidar, where Flying Officer Ananya Sharma is undergoing training before graduating onto faster & more superior fighter aircraft of IAF,”
Ananya Sharma is currently undergoing training in Bidar before graduating onto faster and superior aircraft.
