Celebrities in Mumbai left no stone unturned to show their gracious hospitality to International football star David Beckham. Anand Ahuja and Sonam Kapoor hosted a grand welcome party for David Beckham at their Mumbai residence.
Besides Sonam’s family, Shahid Kapoor-Mira Rajput, Farhan Akhtar-Shibani Dandekar, industrialist Adar Poonawala were also present at the party.
Sonam adorned a red and white saree while her husband Anand sported a green Kurta. The Manchester United football legend who was dressed in complete black was seen posing between Sonam and Anand.
The football icon was given a warm welcome by the Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) chairman Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani at their residence Antilia in Mumbai on Thursday. The star was presented with a blue Mumbai-Indian jersey with the star’s name and the number seven imprinted on it.
Beckham held the blue jersey while the family captured a beautiful snapshot with them all standing. Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani, daughter Isha, son Akash with his wife Shokla, Radhika Merchant, fiancee of Anant Ambani were featured in the photo.
Mumbai Indians shared the same snap and wrote on their official X Page: “ From Manchester’s Red to Mumbai’s Blue & Gold - 𝗡𝗼.𝟳 𝗕𝗘𝗖𝗞𝗛𝗔𝗠.”
David was in India as part of his tour as the goodwill ambassador of UNICEF, a role which he took up in 2005. He was in Mumbai to witness the captivating ICC semi-final match played between India and New Zealand. Beckham also attended a private party at SRK’s Mannat where other top celebs were invited. Paparazzi captured Beckham entering Mannat, wearing casuals, on Thursday night while he flew back in the early hours of Friday, November 17.
