Former Bond Girl Tanya Roberts Passes Away at Age 65

Tanya Roberts, 65, former bond girl and ‘That 70s Show Star’ passed away at a Los Angeles hospital due to a urinary tract infection on Monday. 

She passed away at the Cedars-Sinai hospital and the news was confirmed by her companion Lance O’Brien.

The actress was best known for her role as Stacey Sutton in the James Bond flick ‘A View to a Kill’ where she played a geologist. However, her first break was in the final season of ‘Charlie’s Angeles’ in which she played the role of Julie Rogers.

Her publicist Mike Pingel said that the infection had spread to her kidney, gallbladder, liver, and then the bloodstream. 

Tanya began her career as a fashion model. After appearing in Charlie’s Angeles, she played a slave Kiri in the film ‘The Beastmaster’ (1982) which went on to become a cult film. 

‘Sheena: Queen of the Jungle’ in which she plays the title character also went on to become a cult classic in 1984. 

Tanya stayed away from the spotlight for a long period before emerging in the popular sitcom ‘That 70s Show’ in which she played Midge Pinciotti. Despite playing a mother to a teenage girl, she looked slim and beautiful.

 It is said that she left the show after her husband fell terminally ill only to reappear for a few guest appearances in the 6th and 7th seasons. 

She retired from films in the year 2005 and maintained an active social media presence thereafter.
