George Clooney Met with an Accident in Italy
Clooney was riding a scooter that collided with a Mercedes, and the actor got injured.
Location Italy, daytime, Hollywood star George Clooney riding a scooter, suddenly a blue Mercedes approaches… and bang! Both the vehicles collide, Clooney is thrown up on asphalt, witnesses come running for help!
Well, this is no film script, no thrilling Hollywood chasing sequence was taking place, but real incident for which George Clooney had to be taken to the John Paul II hospital in Olbia.
“He is recovering at his home and will be fine,” the star’s spokesman Stan Rosenfield stated this in an email, after he was treated and released from the hospital.
George Clooney was riding a scooter yesterday on the streets of Olbia, Sardinia, Italy when his scooter (some report is as a bike) crashed into the oncoming blue Mercedes. Clooney was thrown up over his scooter, then up in the air and finally hitting the street.
Thankfully, his injuries were not serious. Some oil stain and police paint still remain on the spot.
The Oscar-winning actor known for his charming looks is in Italy on a shooting project. This ‘One Fine Day’ star cast was reportedly heading to shoot while the collision happened. George Clooney is shooting for the ‘Catch-22’ miniseries for television, based on the novel by Joseph Heller, first published in 1961. The novel was adapted into a film, released in 1970.
Italy is special to Clooney for one more reason. In 2014, he got married to the British Human Rights attorney Amal Clooney. He also has his own home there in Lake Como. Although the ‘Gravity’ actor is at present residing at a rental villa in the high-end Puntaldia neighborhood on Sardinia’s northeastern coast.
The entire video of the accident was recorded by the surveillance camera on the street. Newspaper Corriere della Sera who obtained the video yesterday, published it as an exclusive news report.
