Google India Reports Its First Covid 19 Case of an Employee in Bengaluru Office

He was in the Bengaluru office for a few hours before he started showing symptoms.
In a statement issued on Friday, Google India said, “We can confirm that an employee from our Bangalore office has been diagnosed with COVID-19. They were in one of our Bangalore offices for a few hours before developing any symptoms. The employee has been on quarantine since then and we have asked colleagues who were in close contact with the employee to quarantine themselves and monitor their health.”
They also stated that as a precautionary measure they would ask employees to work from home tomorrow. They promised to take all precautionary measures and prioritize every employee’s health and safety.
Two employees from popular tech companies like Mindtree and Dell have also tested positive for Covid 19.
Meanwhile, Karnataka reported its first Coronavirus death of a 76-year-old man in Kalaburgi who traveled back from Saudi Arabia. So far the number of confirmed Covid 19 cases has risen to five in Karnataka.
The total number of confirmed Covid 19 cases have risen to 79 in India. It exists in at least 13 states and territories including Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Hyderabad, Punjab, and Ladakh.
