Harry and Meghan Visit Jordan to Spotlight Global Health and Humanitarian Relief

Prince Harry, 41, and Meghan Markle,44, have travelled to Jordan to champion vulnerable communities impacted by conflict and displacement, placing global health and humanitarian relief at the centre of their latest international visit.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made the trip at the invitation of Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization, underscoring their growing collaboration with international health leaders.

During their visit, the couple are meeting WHO health teams, Jordanian leaders and senior officials, and observing frontline health and mental health programmes supporting those affected by regional crises. Outside Amman’s Speciality Hospital, they greeted and spoke with patients, including medical evacuees from Gaza receiving urgent treatment.

Their itinerary also includes a visit to World Central Kitchen staff coordinating vital food relief efforts for Gaza from the Jordanian capital. In addition, they are set to visit youth programmes run by Questscope, where they will hear directly from young people taking part in creative and wellbeing initiatives designed to foster resilience and hope.

The visit comes six years after the couple stepped back as working royals and marks their first international tour since 2024. Beyond high-level meetings, the trip reflects their continued focus on shining a global spotlight on frontline humanitarian work and the organisations delivering life-saving support.

Through the Archewell Foundation, the Duke and Duchess continue to expand their philanthropic footprint, strengthening partnerships with global organisations such as the WHO while advocating for health equity, mental wellbeing and humanitarian relief worldwide.
