The voting session in the ‘city of dreams’ is taking place with great gusto as many prominent personalities were seen lining up to vote, early parts of the morning. Some of the early risers who were spotted are ‘Quantico star’ Priyanka Chopra, Congress candidate Urmila Matondkar, BJP Lawmaker Paresh Rawal, actors Rekha, Madhuri Dixit and many more.

After casting her vote Priyanka Chopra took to Twitter to share a picture of her inked finger. She posted, “This is the moment that matters ….Every vote is a voice that counts. #LokSabahaElections2019.



Madhuri Dixit cast her vote in a polling booth in Juhu. She took to Twitter to share an image of her inked finger and posted these lines, “Voting is our right, let’s use it wisely! The future of our country is in our hands. Let’s do our duty and #VoteForIndia.”

BJP MP Paresh Rawal was seen with his wife Swaroop Sampath at Jamna Bai School in Vile Parle.



Actor Rahul Bose cast his vote after he returned from a film shooting in Hyderabad. Reliance Group Chairman Anil Ambani voted at G D Somani School in Cuffee Parade while Reserve Bank of India governor Shaktikanta Das was spotted casting his vote near Peddar road.

Urmila Matondkar who recently turned to politics is contesting from Mumbai North Parliamentary Constituency of Maharashtra. She will be contesting against BJP lawmaker Gopal Shetty. Priya Dutt, sister of Sanjay Dutt is contesting from Mumbai North Central. She will be contesting against BJP’s Poonam Mahajan. Business Magnate- Mukesh Ambani has appealed to the public to vote for Congress MP Milind Deora who is contesting against Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant.

Bollywood stars have impressed the masses by turning up in large numbers proving that they take their voting rights seriously. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also requested top celebrities to vote and in turn, urge their followers to follow suit. With today’s voting, Maharashtra will complete its fourth phase of polling for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. The seven-phase election will end on May 19 and the results will be declared on May 23.
