Here’s Why A Village in Andhra is Celebrating Donald Trump’s Victory

The residents of Andhra's Vadluru village are celebrating the magnanimous win of the Republicans especially due to Usha Vance, wife of US Vice President-elect J D Vance.

Usha Chilukuri Vance’s ancestors hail from this quaint village in the West Godavari district of Andhra.

As soon as the 2024 US presidential elections results were declared, villagers in Vadluru took to the streets and burst crackers to celebrate the victory.

They also offered special prayers for J D Vance’s victory.

“We hope that Trump will win the election. America is countering terrorism across the world. The relations between America and India will improve if Trump becomes the President. There is a big fight between the two (Trump and Kamala Harris). We generally feel proud that (Usha) Vance is a native of Vadluru. We feel proud (about it). They donated the land long ago, but her (Vance’s) relatives are here,” Ramana, a resident of the village said.

Locals celebrated J D Vance’s win and Usha Vance’s close connection to the village. Villagers also have high expectations that Vadluru will benefit from Usha Vance’s success.

Usha Vance is an Indian American lawyer who will assume the role of the Second Lady of the United States of America.
