Here’s Why Shashi Tharoor Tweeted to King Khan That He Has No Place to Rest

On a recent visit to the serene hill station Munnar, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor found himself residing in a hotel room which he described as a “shrine” to SRK in a recent tweet.
The Congress lawmaker and writer tweeted interesting photos of himself with images of Shahrukh Khan inside in his hotel room. There were posters of ‘King of Bollywood’ as well as posters from the movie ‘Chennai Express’ all around the room.

Shashi Tharoor turned to Twitter to express a few words on the “Shahrukh Khan” themed room:
Dear @iamsrk, when on a brief visit to Munnar yesterday I took rest in the room you occupied in 2013, which has been converted into a shrine for you & #ChennaiExpress! Every wall is decorated w/posters of the film &the suite is dominated by this cut-out of you. No place for rest!
Shashi Tharoor’s post has drawn thousands of likes and comments from followers on Twitter. The reason behind all the memorabilia in that specific hotel suite is that Shahrukh Khan resided in the same room when he had come down to Munnar during the shoot of the famed movie ‘Chennai Express’ in 2013. In honour of SRK and the blockbuster movie, the staff of the hotel decided to give the suite a ‘Shahrukh’ and a ‘Chennai Express’ get up.
SRK hasn’t responded yet however followers had a lot to say in response to Tharoor’s tweet:

Few years ago, while touring Kerala, we stayed in the same hotel in Munnar. We had our room just next to the 'shrine'. The hotel has a wonderful cinematic theme.
