Hollywood Mogul Harvey Weinstein Still Believes That He Will Be Forgiven

Harvey Weinstein who has been accused of sexual misconduct by dozens of women, says he will be forgiven according to television presenter Piers Morgan.

Television presenter Piers Morgan, recently met Harvey Weinstein at a clinic where he had been taking treatment. He told GQ that he had a long conversation with Weinstein. "I've spoken to Harvey in the clinic in Arizona, for about an hour.

“He's fighting," Morgan said. "He's a fascinating character. The apocalyptic symptom of the whole thing — the casting couch finally brought to judgment.” Listen, this has been the system since Hollywood existed," Morgan said.

"It's been a moral cesspit since the '20s, and the idea that Harvey Weinstein is the only villain? Do me a favor. Look at Mel Gibson: ultimately Harvey believes he will be forgiven." Gibson found himself in the center of controversy in 2006 when he initiated an anti-semitic tirade after he was arrested for drunken driving. He still enjoyed success and was awarded the best director nomination for his film 'Hacksaw Ridge' in 2017.  

Harvey Weinstein who was considered to be one of the most powerful figures in Hollywood has been accused of sexual misconduct including rape by more than 70 women, however, he has denied having non-consensual sex with anyone.

Weinstein spoke to Morgan last year and he said “I have immense respect for Piers Morgan and appreciate him. During our conversation, which was back in 2017, the only thought I conveyed was that my focus now and in the future is on my family," Weinstein said. "I did not talk about business or Hollywood. My priority is my family."

The allegations against the Hollywood Mogul first came to light in a New York Times article. Since then, a large number of prominent women in Hollywood had come forward and accused him of sexual misconduct.

Weinstein also promised to advance their careers in response to sexual favors. Gwyneth Paltrow, Mira Sorvino, Ashley Judd, Angelina Jolie and Uma Thurman are some of the big names that came forward and spoke about his wayward behavior. Now, the New York state prosecutors have filed a lawsuit against the Weinstein Company for failing to protect their employees and investigators are currently looking at various allegations made by women against the movie producer.
