I-Life Digital Teams Up with Flipkart to Tap Indian PC, Notebook Market

US-based I-Life Digital Technology, seems well set to tap the fast-growing Indian electronics market through its exclusive partnership with India’s largest e-commerce platform, Flipkart. Come May 3 and I-Life Digital will start delivering its top-selling ZED range of budget-smart products for Indian consumers through Flipkart. Initially, the Miami-based company will focus on first-time buyers, mostly in metro and tier-II cities and once it consolidates its position in these areas, then move further beyond, top company officials said.

The ZED series from the I-Life’s stable includes: ZED Book 2-in-1 Detachable Laptop (in gold and grey), ZED Air laptop (in silver and grey) and ZED Air Pro (silver) ultra-slim notebook (the slimmest notebook in its category). Interestingly, going by IDC reports, these products ruled the top spot in the entry-level notebook and tablet category last year in the META region. Interestingly, the entire range comes with price tags ranging between Rs 10,000 and Rs 15,000.

Deepak Bhatia, I-Life’s global director for sales and marketing, said that Indian consumers look for world class and yet affordable products and I-Life would cater to Indian consumers’ bold and aspirational needs with amazing products. The US-based company which never compromises on quality and affordability, while innovating and bringing in premium features and style, has set out on a mission to develop innovative products that will enhance people’s lives, he said.

The product portfolio of I-Life, which currently serves Middle East, Africa and CIS countries, comprises more than 60 models including Feature Phones, Smart Phones, Tablet PCs, Virtual Reality, Smart Watches, 2-in-1 Detachable Tablets, Ultra Slim Notebooks, Convertible Notebooks and Portable All-in-One PCs.

Microsoft, which has been partnering I-Life for the middle east and African markets, is also bullish about the development. Ricardo Davila, WW LDP Lead, Microsoft, said that the company sees great opportunity for Windows devices in India.
