Infy to Set up a New Development Centre at Bengal Silicon Valley

Infosys will set up its new software development centre at the much-hyped Bengal Silicon Valley Hub in Kolkata. The foundation stone for the Bengal Silicon Valley Hub was laid by West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday. And the global leader in consulting, technology and next-generation services made the announcement of the commencement of work on its new software development centre in Kolkata in front of the Bengal chief minister.


 

 


NYSE-listed Infosys, often called Infy, will shell out nearly Rs 100 crore in the first phase of the project. While the entire project will come up on a sprawling 50-acre land, the first phase of the project will see the construction of 525,000 square feet facility. More importantly, the first phase of the project itself will generate employment in the order of 1000 engineers. Top Infosys officials said that the first phase of the project will be completed within 15 months from the date of obtaining all statutory clearances.
