Isha Ambani to Marry Anand Piramal This December
During the weekend prior to the wedding, the Ambani and Piramal families will host their friends and family in Udaipur, where they are partnering with artisans and craftsmen’s to integrate local culture and traditions into the festivities.
Daughter of Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, Isha Ambani will get married to her longtime friend and industrialist Anand Piramal on December 12th this year. Last month the couple had a grand engagement ceremony in Lake Como in North Italy near the Alps. Celebrities, Bollywood stars and bigwigs from across the society and industry, attended the engagement ceremony, which continued for three days.
Now the date of the marriage is confirmed, which is declared by a joint statement by the Ambanis and the Piramals, “We are delighted to share that the marriage of Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal will take place in the residence of Shri Mukesh Ambani and Smt. Nita Ambani in Mumbai with family members and close friends on 12th December, 2018. The ceremonies will be performed in accordance with Indian traditions, customs and culture”.

This week, the Ambani family visited Siddhivinayak Temple to offer the first invitation of the marriage to Lord Siddhivinayak. In June this year, the Ambani family had offered the invite of their elder son Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta’s engagement at the same temple.
Isha and Anand are friends for a long time. Anand Piramal holds a bachelor degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School. He is also the founder of Piramal Realty in 2012 and Piramal Swasthya, a rural health initiative. He is also an executive director of the Piramal Group, which is his father Ajay Piramal led international business house, with offices in 30 countries.
While Isha Ambani holds a bachelor degree in psychology and South Asian Studies from the Yale University. Isha is also on the boards of Reliance Jio and Reliance Retail and is responsible for instilling a culture of youthful dynamism in the business.
Isha’s father Mukesh Ambani is India’s richest man and the chairman of Reliance Industries Limited, whereas Anand’s father Ajay Piramal is the chairman of the Piramal Group of companies, which has a business range from pharmaceuticals to financial services.
Earlier this year, the eldest son of Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, Akash Ambani got engaged with Shloka Mehta, the daughter of diamond businessman Russel Mehta.
