Pragya Yadav, a close pal of Mira Rajput took to Instagram to share the big news, "Biggest congratulations to all of you! My darling Mira it's been a beautiful journey and I'm so happy I got to share it with you, it's been special! Love and more love." The hashtag #itsaboy" accompanied these lines.

Wishes pour in for the parents
As soon as fans and friends got to know about the exciting news, wishes began to pour in from all quarters. Shahid Kapoor’s co-star Alia Bhatt took to Instagram and created a special congratulatory message saying “Congratulations my loves!! It’s a boy.” The pair worked together in films like Udta Punjab and Shaandaar.
Sreedevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor posted these lines for the happy parents.

Mira Rajput grabbed headlines during pregnancy
Since the time, media got to know about Mira’s second pregnancy, she’s been grabbing headlines. Mira has been in the limelight for her modern and attractive pregnancy wardrobes. On June 30, 2018, Shahid and Mira turned heads when they made an appearance hand in hand at Shloka Mehta and Akash Ambani’s engagement ceremony. Mrs. Kapoor sure knows how to flaunt her baby bump with finesse and style and she has aced all her maternity looks. Adding to that, Mira kept her fans glued by posting amusing stuff about her food cravings during her second pregnancy. One instance, she took to Instagram to post how much she craved a Pizza and posted these lines alongside the image of a Pizza, "Cravings in the third trimester!? I thought this bump was going to be well behaved."
Earlier in July, Mira and Shahid hosted a baby shower for family and friends. The event was attended by Pragya Yadav, Shilarna Vaze, Ishaan Khattar and Janhvi Kapoor. Shahid Kapoor married Mira Rajput on July 2015 and their first child Misha was born in 2016 while their second baby, two years thereafter. Speaking to PTI Shahid said “It is no more about just being an actor. I have a family and a kid. I want to be part of my child's growth. I want to be with her in each and every moment. The whole experience of being a parent has been beautiful and life-changing."
