Kannada Actress Kills Brother as He Opposed Her Relationship

A Kannada actress Shanaya Katwe and her live-in boyfriend have allegedly killed her brother Rakesh as he was a major hindrance to their relationship. 

Shanaya’s boyfriend Niyaz is a small-time realtor. 

According to Dharwad Superintendent of Police P Krishnakant, “Rakesh was a major hurdle to their love affair.” 

The couple murdered the brother, burnt his body, and disposed of the body in the jungle. 

Rakesh’s charred and mutilated body was found in a plastic bag in the Devaragudihal forest area on April 12.

After a thorough investigation, it was discovered that Rakesh Katwe who was a housekeeper in a bar was missing.  The investigations also revealed that Shanaya was living with Niyaz as a paying guest. 

The culprits Shanaya Katwe, Niyaz, and his 3 friends have been arrested and are currently under police custody. 

It was also found that Niyaz’s family members were also involved in the incident during interrogation. 

“Prima facie, it looks like a case of love affair. We have not come across their affiliation to any organisation, but our investigations are on,” Krishnakant said.

Shanaya Katwe is an actress and her film ‘Chhota Bombay’ is yet to be released.
