Kareena Kapoor Makes Lifestyle Changes to Live Healthier and Happier
Kareena Kapoor has made significant changes to her daily routine to ensure a healthier life for herself and her family. Some of these changes include early dinner, early nap time and disciplined workouts.
Kareena Kapoor, who is well known for her strict health regime, recently opened up about her daily routine in an interview with The Nod media outlet.
She has made some major changes to her daily routine to prioritise her health.
She spoke about her sleep routine and workout schedule.
The mother of two kids, now chooses to work on one or two films a year, in order to maintain balance in her life.
Kareena revealed that she eats her dinner by 6 p.m. and goes to bed around 9:30 p.m. She begins her workouts early in the morning.
An early dinner aids digestion, helps regulate blood sugar levels, supports weight management, and improves sleep quality.
The actress underscored how integral exercise has become to her overall well-being. “If I don’t work out, I’m in a bad mood. Post-COVID, I realised how important fitness is — not for vanity, but for well-being. It’s my mood stabiliser, my anchor.”
Her whole family cooks together. Saif Ali Khan loves trying new recipes and particularly enjoys Kerala cuisine, including idlis and coconut stews.
Kareena says, “I want a proper Indian meal every day — this is my need.”
She now takes a more relaxed approach to work and doesn’t chase roles anymore. She no longer feels the pressure to stay constantly visible or competitive. She firmly believes that “Working less is working more.”
Her trainer, Mahesh Ghanekar, revealed that the actress works out four times a week. Her workouts involve a mix of strength training, functional movements, and core training. All of these are guided by a heart rate-based workout routine, managed by the trainer.
"There are many body changes for women in their 40s. Weight loss becomes tougher than ever, and they may experience mood swings and irritability. The perimenopause phase can be challenging both physically and mentally. In such times, weight training provides the strength needed to cope with these changes," explains Ghanekar.
From managing a healthy home life to redefining success on her own terms, Kareena Kapoor offers a refreshing take on wellness, one grounded in self-awareness, discipline, and purpose.
