Korn Ferry Ropes in Sharad Vishvanath as APAC Helmsman

NYSE-listed Korn Ferry, a leading global consulting firm, has now roped in Sharad Vishvanath as APAC regional head for the transformation and transaction (M&A) practice. It  helps companies to design their organization in a holistic manner – the structure, the roles and responsibilities. It also help companies in designing and developing their HR policies and strategies like how they are to compensate, develop and motivate their people.

Vishvanath, who holds an MBA from Wharton at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.E. from IIT Roorkee, brings with him more than 20 years of experience across banking and consulting and the experience of working in multiple countries. His immediate past assignment was with AU Small Finance Bank, a start-up bank in India where he was running the digital bank, analytics and HR portfolios.

During the course of his stint with AU Small Finance Bank, he was instrumental in the first fully digital loan product launch. He actually led the deployment of deep machine learning models across customer, credit, and people analytics. Vishvanath also successfully executed a HR digitization and transformation of the bank.

Vishvanath also had a long stint of nearly 15 years with a global consulting firm, where he served as the regional managing director, Asia-Pacific, Middle East & Africa (AMEA), for their Strategic Advisory practice which used to focus on helping its clients through mergers and acquisitions and other related transactions. He is also widely recognised as an industry expert in banking and financial services sector and has worked successfully with leading banks like Citibank and HSBC in business and sales roles.
