Lisa Marie’s Memoir Will be Published Posthumously Says Random House Publishers

On Thursday, Random House Publishers announced that Lisa Marie’s memoir will be published posthumously. Her daughter Riley Keough has co-authored the book.

The memoir which is still untitled will arrive on October 15.

The description of the much anticipated book reads, “Born to an American myth and raised in the wilds of Graceland, Lisa Marie Presley was never truly understood . . . until now. Before her death in 2023, she’d been working on a raw, riveting, one-of-a-kind memoir for years, recording countless hours of breathtakingly vulnerable tape, which has finally been put on the page by her daughter, Riley Keough.”

Keough will read the audiobook for the memoir which will also have Lisa Marie’s voice from previously recorded audiotapes.

In a statement, Riley Keough expressed that very few people had the opportunity to know who Lisa really was other than being Elvis Presley’s daughter.

Random House said that Riley knew that it was the right time for the world to discover Lisa’s story.

“She listened as Lisa Marie told story after story about the unconditional love she felt from her father, about being upstairs at Graceland, just the two of them, a sanctuary from the chaos of her life. About Lisa Marie’s complicated relationship with her mother Priscilla. About growing up with the clicking cameras perpetually at the door. About her own wild love stories, and her marriages to Michael Jackson and Nicolas Cage. About motherhood and the shattering loss of her son, Riley’s brother Benjamin Keough, to suicide.”

The announcement of Lisa’s memoir comes one year after her death on January 12, 2023.

Just days before her death, she and her mother Priscilla Presley, attended the Golden Globes Awards where Austin Butler, who played Elvis Presley in the biopic, received the Golden Globes for the best actor in a motion picture.

Lisa Marie Presley was born in Memphis, Tennessee on February 1, 1968 to Elvis and Priscilla. Elvis died when she was only nine years old in August 1977, making her the heir to his estate along with her grandparents. She eventually became the sole heir to Elvis’ famed ‘Graceland’ Residence after the passing away of her grandparents.
