Mahindra's Ongoing Proactive Evaluation for Ensuring Excellence and Safety in XUV700 and XUV400 SUVs

Mahindra has garnered significant attention in the automotive industry for an extended period. Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd has declared its intention to conduct preemptive evaluations on a combined total of 110,000 units of the XUV700 and XUV400 SUVs. This initiative is prompted by the potential vulnerability of abrasion cuts in the wiring harness located within the engine compartment. The company made this disclosure via an official filing with the stock exchange. Mahindra & Mahindra has assured that the scrutiny and any ensuing necessary fixes will be provided without any charges to all customers who are impacted by this issue. The XUV700 SUVs which were bought between June 8, 2021 and June 28, 2023 will be inspected which accounts to 108,306 units of its XUV700s. 

Buyers of the XUV700 can opt for either of the two potent engine options: a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine or a 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel engine. The XUV700 comes furnished with an array of cutting-edge attributes, encompassing a 10.25-inch touchscreen entertainment setup, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a 360-degree camera, an expansive panoramic sunroof, and a sophisticated driver assistance system (ADAS). Accoladed with a 5-star safety rating from the Global NCAP, the XUV700 boasts an extensive roster of safety attributes. Within, the XUV400 provides an expansive and comfortable interior, furnishing ample legroom and headroom for both anterior and posterior occupants. The vehicle is equipped with an array of advanced features, embracing a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment interface, a singular pane sunroof, and integrated connected car technology offering over-the-air (OTA) updates. Safety-wise, the XUV400 is fortified with as many as six airbags, disc brakes on all four wheels, an IP67 rating for the battery unit, and secure ISOFIX anchorages.
