Man in Uttar Pradesh Walks on Road with Daughter’s Head

In a shocking case in a village in Uttar Pradesh, a man was found walking with the severed head of his 17-year-old daughter. 

The gruesome case took place in Uttar Pradesh's Hardoi district which created panic among the locals. 

The police were alerted by a local who spotted him walking on a road in Pandetara village which is 200 km from Lucknow. 

While recording a video of him, the police officials asked him questions about his identity and the identity of the person whose head he was holding. 

He gave his name Sarvesh Kumar and disclosed that the severed head was that of his daughter. 

The reason he killed his daughter was because she was in a relationship with a man and he was unhappy about it.  In a fit of rage, he struck her with a sharp-edged weapon at the Pandetara village on Wednesday night. 

Surprisingly he revealed all the information without any remorse or shame. 

Sarvesh who is a vegetable vendor was later taken to Majhila police station which is 143 km of Lucknow. 

“A person named Sarvesh killed his teenaged daughter and was spotted carrying her severed head on the road. We intercepted him as soon as we received information about it and have taken him into custody. We have also taken serious note of a photo which shows a police official carrying her head inappropriately. The cop has been suspended,” Kapil Deo Singh, who is a police official posted in Hardoi, said.

The man is currently in police custody and further action will be taken on him. The state of Uttar Pradesh topped the list when it came to the highest number of crimes against women in 2019 according to a report released by National Crime Record Bureau.
