Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Welcome a Baby Boy
Evidently, Prince Harry was very excited on this special occasion and on newly becoming a father. He described the experience as being “over the moon.”
The Duchess of Sussex gave birth to a “healthy baby boy” early parts of Monday morning. Prince Harry was by her side. An official statement was posted in the Royal Couple’s official Instagram account which read, “We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019.”
The baby weighs 7lbs. 3oz.
The statement also read that the baby and the mother is “healthy and well.”

The birth date of the baby reveals that he’s a Taurus and thus he shares his birthday with prominent personalities like actor George Clooney, psychiatrist Sigmund Freud, actor Orson Welles, former British prime minister Tony Blair, and American singer Bob Seger.
Royal fans are now keenly awaiting the announcement of the baby’s name. Names such as Alexander, Arthur, Thomas are being speculated.
The son of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is expected to be given the title ‘Earl of Dumbarton’ unless there are last minute changes.
Royal fans were quick to react on the birth of the baby. Prominent personalities took to social media to congratulate the couple.
Ryan Seacrest was among the first celebrities to react saying, “It’s a boy! Congrats to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. The royal baby is 7th in line to the British throne...and the latest entry in the race for the iron throne," he wrote referencing "Game of Thrones.”
British Prime Minister Theresa May wrote: “Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the arrival of their baby boy. Wishing you all the best at this happy time.”
"Congratulations, Meghan and Harry! Barack and I are so thrilled for both of you and can't wait to meet him. #RoyalBaby," wrote former First Lady Michelle Obama.
It is likely that the baby’s name will be announced tomorrow by the parents. The new arrival will be seventh in line to the throne.
