Michelle Obama Emerges as The popular Choice to Replace President Joe Biden as Presidential Candidate

Former US First Lady, Michelle Obama, has emerged as the popular choice to replace President Joe Biden as the candidate for the Democratic party in the upcoming 2024 elections.

A survey was conducted by Rasmussen Reports, and it is pretty clear that most of the voters want a change. The report was released on Monday, The New York Post reported.

48% of democrats who participated in the poll agreed that they want Joe Biden to be replaced while 38% think it is okay for 81 year old Joe Biden to continue his presidential journey.

Michelle Obama received 20% votes to replace Joe Biden while Kamala Harris won 15% of the votes. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was not far behind. She secured 12% votes.

California Governor Newsom won the support of 11% of the voters. The youngest of them all; Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer enjoyed 9% of the people’s votes.

Many people consider Joe Biden’s age as a hindrance !

27% of the democrats didn’t like any of the above mentioned options and couldn’t decide who would be the ideal choice for the next presidential candidate.

Meanwhile, Michelle Obama is the leading contender. Even in the past, she has been called several times to try her luck in politics. Her husband Barack Obama was the US president from 2009 to 2017.

Last month Michelle had expressed immense fear about the upcoming elections. “The fact that people think that government-'eh,, does it really even do anything?' - and I'm like, 'Oh my God, does government do everything for us, and we cannot take this democracy for granted.' And I worry sometimes that we do. Those are the things that keep me up,” she had said.
