Model Spends $600k to Look Like Kim Kardashian and Spends $120k to Get Back Her Real Identity

Former Versace model Jennifer Pamplona who underwent several surgeries to look like reality star Kim Kardashian has spent another 95 lakh (USD 120k) to look like herself again.

The model is believed to have spent a whopping $600,000 (approximately Rs 4 cr)  to look like reality star Kim Kardashian.

She told an outlet ‘Caters’ that she wanted to look like the famous celebrity. Eventually she was recognized by people only because she looked like Kim Kardashian and not for anything else. This became annoying.

“People would call me a Kardashian and it started to get annoying,” she said. “I had worked and studied and was a businesswoman. I had done all these things and had all these achievements in my personal life, but I was only being recognised because I looked like a Kardashian,” she was quoted as saying.

Jennifer was only 17 years old when she underwent plastic surgery. Among the 40 operations, she underwent three rhinoplasties, eight surgeries on her bottom with butt implants and fat injections.

Soon she realised that she was becoming an addict to plastic surgery.

“I was putting filler in my face like I was in the supermarket.”

“It was an addiction and I got into a cycle of surgery that equals fame and money, I just lost control of everything. I went through a lot of hard times,” she was quoted as saying.

A doctor in Istanbul had reassured her that he would help her get back her real appearance. She has now undergone ‘detransition surgery’ however not without complications like bleeding from cheeks, swelling and bruises due to the procedure. The model believes that the detransition was worth it because she got back her real identity.

The Brazilian model has previously worked for Versace. The model has revealed that she was uncomfortable and unsatisfied with her body and she finally discovered that she suffered from body dysmorphia.

The model is part of a documentary titled ‘Addiction’ to make people aware of the dangers of addiction to cosmetic surgery. She is also working with those who are suffering from body dysmorphia which is truly commendable.

Jennifer is on the path of recovery. “The best feeling is knowing I'm not in a fight with myself anymore. I am now who I wanted to be, and I really now understand the meaning of life,” she expressed.
