Mystery Thriller ‘Jaane Jaan’ Trailer Releases; Promises to Be An Entertainer

‘Jaane Jaan’ is an upcoming mystery thriller film on Netflix, written and directed by Sujoy Ghosh. 

The film is an adaptation of a 2005 best selling Japanese novel ‘The Devotion of suspect X’ by author Keigo Higashino.

Kareena Kapoor plays a single mother Maya D’souza who may be involved in a murder. Jaideep Ahlawat plays Maya’s neighbour Naren while Vijay Varma is a Mumbai police officer who plays Karan Anand. 

The film is set in the picturesque hill station of Kalimpong. The trailer of the movie was released on tuesday.

There seems to be an aura of mystery about Maya and her life. What you see is not what you get. She seems to have a friendly relation with her neighbour Naren. In one of the scenes, he comes to check on her and find out if everything is okay. She says that all is fine. She explains that she was only trying to kill a cockroach. 

Meanwhile, Karan Anand is also in the quaint town and seems to be in search of someone. Karan and Naren are pals. They look happy to see each other and share a great camaraderie. 

Naren describes Maya as a family oriented person. To this Karan says, “Maybe or maybe not.” She happens to be a prime suspect in his investigation. Seemingly, Maya is close both to her neighbour and a romantic relationship with Karan is also blossoming. 

With an entourage of talented cast and an equally talented director, ‘Jaane Jaan’ appears promising. 

Is Maya innocent? What secrets are waiting to unfold in the quaint town of Kalimpong ? 

Get prepared to get the answers, as the mystery thriller is all set to hit OTT platform Netflix on 21st September, on Kareena’s birthday. This is Kareena Kapoor’s first OTT debut.
