Nude Scene of Marilyn Monroe Found after Years

Have you seen 1961 released ‘The Misfits’, starring Clark Gable, Marilyn Monroe, and Montgomery Clift? Confused wondering that you might have missed a nude scene by Miss Monroe there? Well, recently a nude scene has been found that was kept locked up in a cabinet. The scene is between late diva Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable.

Author Charles Casillo, who is writing a book on Ms Monroe titled, ‘Marilyn Monroe: The Private Life of a Public Icon’ is currently involved in his research and it is during this R&D that he bumped into the nude clip of Monroe.

As per sources, the footage was thought to have been destroyed before. Director of ‘The Misfits’, John Huston felt the scene was not necessary to the film and therefore eliminated it. In fact, the clip was left on the cutting room floor.

However, the producer of the film, Frank Taylor thought otherwise. Comprehending its immense importance and future relevance, he kept the scene, and reportedly, it had been stored in 1999.

The nude scene shows Monroe dropping a sheet which she was holding to cover her body. And as per reports, probably this is the first ever nude scene shot for a major production!

The author of ‘Marilyn: The Passion and the Paradox’, Lois Banner, wrote in The Los Angeles Times, “We admire her beauty, puzzle over her mysteries and see her as a reflection of the quixotic, multifaceted, always striving and often contradictory American character.”

Records reveal, that since after ‘The Misfits’, Monroe didn’t complete a single film that she was working in, and was suffering from mental illness and substance abuse. The Hollywood sex symbol died in 1962 due to drug overdose.

Therefore, the nude scene by Monroe is not only a sensuous discovery, but after taking into account the facts, the black and white footage is definitely a significant finding in the history of world cinema!
