One Woman, Many Countries: Drishti Sharma’s Solo Travel Tips
From quitting her corporate job to travelling the world solo, vlogger Drishti Sharma inspires women to explore fearlessly with smart planning, confidence, and purpose.
Vlogger Drishti Sharma’s journey from a corporate desk to the open roads of the world is nothing short of inspiring. Having quit her corporate job to pursue content creation full-time, she is now a solo international traveller, documenting her experiences and empowering others—especially women—to travel fearlessly.
In a recent post on X, Drishti shared a series of practical tips for women who dream of travelling alone. She began by urging travellers to reflect on why they want to travel in the first place—whether it’s for comfort, adventure, cultural exploration, or inner peace.
“Planning international trips as a female creator is no cakewalk, but after multiple trials and errors, I’ve built a tried-and-tested process that keeps my travels safe and productive without compromising on fun,” she wrote on X.
According to Drishti, good planning is the foundation of a stress-free trip. She recommends booking flights and accommodation well in advance and familiarising oneself with the basic rules and customs of the destination country.
“Know the basics before you land. Currency rules, SIM options, common scams, and cultural do’s and don’ts can save you from days of confusion and stress,” she advised.
She also stressed the importance of being financially prepared. Carrying a debit or credit card along with emergency local cash and some US dollars can make a world of difference in unexpected situations.
For getting around, Drishti believes technology is a traveller’s biggest ally. “Public transport and Google Maps are your best friends. From places to stay and eat to commuting routes and hidden gems—it’s all on Maps. Metros are similar almost everywhere, and buses are cheaper, easier, and more convenient,” she shared.
Beyond logistics, Drishti views solo travel as a powerful tool for personal growth. She reminds travellers that unexpected challenges are part of the journey—and often the most rewarding part.
“Something might go wrong, but that’s where your skills—decision-making, confidence, adaptability, and leadership—are tested. That’s also where real stories come from,” she noted.
In another post, Drishti highlighted how travelling helps people step out of their comfort zones, recharge their minds, and connect with new people from different walks of life.
Her words have struck a chord with many users who take travel seriously and see it as more than just a vacation. She wrapped up her post by asking followers to share their dream travel destination for 2026—sparking an enthusiastic response online.
