Passengers in Train Mesmerized by The Spectacular Dudhsagar Waterfall

Passengers of a train in Goa got to experience a spectacular view of a waterfall in all its glory. 

The train passing near the popular ‘Dudhsagar waterfall’ was brought to a halt due to heavy rains and poor visibility. 

Despite the halt, passengers savoured the beautiful experience surrounded by water, rain, and mist. 

A video shared by the Railway Ministry shows that the train stops due to large amounts of water gushing out from the waterfall popularly known as the ‘sea of milk.’

Dudhsagar waterfall is located in the Belgaum Vasco da Gama rail route and it is 60 km from Panaji by road.                        

The waterfall is usually dry during the summer season however the force of water is immense during the rainy season as it is fed by the rains. 

One of the nearest stations to access the waterfall is the Castle Rock station in Uttara Kannada, Karnataka. 

Dudhsagar doesn’t have a platform and visitors have to walk a kilometer before they arrive at their desired destination. 

The waterfall can also be accessed through Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife sanctuary Taxi near a Goan Village called Molem. Currently, this is the only route to reach the waterfall. 

Dudhsagar is one of the tallest waterfalls of India with a height of 310 m and a width of 30 meters. 

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall in parts of Goa and Konkan on July 30 and 31 and an orange alert has been issued for these days.
