Charles was released from a jail in Nepal due to health reasons on December 23. He served 20 years in prison. 

Many netizens found Charles' co-traveller’s expression amusing. 

She was caught staring and scrutinising him sideways. 

The picture has attracted numerous comments.

One user commented, “Man that woman gonna have nightmares. Hope she is ok.”

Another commented, “I don’t think Co-passengers are informed if any criminal who’s just freed is travelling in same flight beside you 😂 She maybe thinking of him to be a politician or celebrity.”

“She would be thinking, What's the procedure to change the seat ?”

Charles Sobhraj nicknamed as ‘The Serpent’ is an Indian Vietnamese serial killer who attained French citizenship. He was also known as the ‘Bikini Killer’ because of the attire of most of his victims. 

His victims were mostly western tourists travelling on the hippie trail of South Asia.

His father and mother never married and when his mother remarried he often felt neglected in his new family that included other children

Charles used his looks and charm to trap his victims and he’s popularly described as “handsome, charming and utterly without scruple.”

A BBC Netflix drama series titled ‘The Serpent’ and a Bollywood film called ‘Main Aur Charles’ was made on his controversial and scandalous life. 

The ‘Bikini Killer’ has been deported to France and will not return to Nepal for at least 10 years.
