A cold-blooded killer is on the loose in the streets of America who is generally targeting homeless people. The series of shootings began on March 3 when a homeless man was shot around 4 am however his injuries were not fatal.

The police are on the lookout for the killer who has already targeted five people. Two are dead and three are injured in the cities of New York and Washington DC. One of the victim’s tents was set on fire after he was stabbed multiple times and shot. Police say that the “modus operandi” is the same in each case.

New York Mayor Eric Adams and DC Mayor Muriel bowser released a joint statement that read, “Our communities in DC and New York City are heartbroken and disturbed by these heinous crimes in which an individual has been targeting some of our most vulnerable residents… we are calling on everyone in our cities to look at the images of the suspect and report any misinformation, however small, that maybe useful.”

“It is heartbreaking and tragic to know that in addition to all the dangers that unsheltered residents face, we now have a cold-blooded killer on the loose, but we are certain that we will get the suspect off the street and into police custody,” the mayors of the two cities said.

The police are working along with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives to nab the killer.

They have released photos of the killer who appears to be bald and show him wearing dark clothing.

There’s a reward of $25,000 (£19,100) by the Washington DC Police while the New York Police has offered a reward of $10,000 (£7,650) for a person who would give crucial information leading to the arrest of the killer.
