Popular IIT Baba of Mahakumbh held carrying Marijuana at Jaipur Hotel
Popular IIT Baba of Mahakumbh was Detained at a hotel in Jaipur. Police confiscated 1.5 grams of Ganja. Released his as he was under permissible limit.
Mahakumbh was all about the popular saints and their devotion to the event as it commenced after 144 years. At the same time, there were some popular participants in the event who were appraised by social media. One of the principles was Abhay Singh, also regarded as the IIT Baba. He became famous after an interview where he claimed to be a student of the Prestigious IIT Bombay. He made a public appearance too many times making him popular in the social world.
IIT Baba was recently detained by the Jaipur Police for reportedly having Marijuana in possession. He claimed that the Shipra Path police station caught IIT Baba from Classic Hotel in Jaipur. Some grams of Ganja were also recovered from the saint. He later threatened to commit suicide on social media as he believed this to be a Prasad. According to agencies, a case has been registered against him through the NDPS Act.
Police released the seer after a minor detention as the amount of Marijuana available with them was within the permissible limits. During the interrogation, he claimed that he was a Saint and that consuming Ganja was a custom ritual. After the release, he was seen celebrating his birthday with his followers and fans.
Earlier, IIT Baba has also complained about abuse on his as he was invited to a TV show in Noida who had misbehaved with him. He also claimed that the news agency beat him with sticks and hurled him. In his complaint, he claims that some people wearing saffron-clad clothes had come inside the broadcasting arena and then started abusing and beating him for no reason.
Abhay Singh started protesting near Sector 126 police station but later withdrew his protest when the police officers requested him to. He was also convinced to not make any form of complaints regarding the issue. A similar case was seen in the year 2024 when a group of mob tried to attack 3 sadhus that were traveling to Ganga Sagar. The 12 people were later arrested by West Bengal Police.
According to police “Five persons, including the three sadhus, were travelling in a vehicle. They stopped at a village named Gourangdih. They saw three village girls who were going to a local Kali temple and asked for something. There was some misunderstanding because of the language problem and the girls thought the sadhus had come with some bad intention. They started shouting,”
