The ‘Rebel’ star made his onscreen debut with 2002 Telugu action-drama ‘Eeswar’. Being raised in a filmy environment, it seems, Prabhas’ acting career was destined long back. His father, Uppalapati Surya Narayana Raju was an acclaimed producer of Telugu cinema and the Chief of Gopi Krishna Movies. ‘Bhakta Kanaappa’ being one of his most successful production, he started producing films since the mid-70s.

Prabhas, although is majorly active in Telugu and Tamil language films, he made his star debut in Bollywood with ‘Saaho’ opposite Shraddha Kapoor that released in 2019.

However, it was in 2015 that Prabhas achieved national stardom with ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’. The film by S. S. Rajamouli went on to create history with its sequel ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’.
