Preity Zinta Wishes All Mothers Through A Heartfelt Note on The Occasion of Mother’s Day
Preity Zinta pens down a heartfelt note about motherhood on Instagram. Preity shares how her experience of being a mother has changed her. She highlights the importance of mothers and their sacrifices. She also asks people to appreciate their mothers
On the occasion of Mother’s Day, Preity Zinta penned a heartfelt note on Instagram describing her own experience of being a mother.
She began the note by first wishing all mothers on her IG profile. She posted a reel alongside the note infused with pictures of her twins Gia and Jai, her mother and her mother-in-law.
Preity goes on to say that if years earlier anyone would’ve asked her to put herself second to anyone in the world, she would’ve dismissed the idea.
“I could never have imagined, being a mother would change me so much. If someone told me 3 years ago, that I would voluntarily put myself second to someone in the world, all the time, every time, I would have laughed & dismissed it ! Guess what !!! I was so wrong. Now, the kids always come first. Not because I have to, but because I want to.”
“It doesn’t matter how tired I am, how busy I am or how hungry I am, the kids always come first. The happiness & pure joy I feel looking at them lights up my darkest days and I feel superhuman strength when I need to protect them. I’m sure I’m not the only mother who feels like this”, she further added.

Preity highlights a vital point when she says that we begin to understand what our mothers did for us only when we step into the role of being a mother. We should appreciate our mothers now by giving them a hug, loving them, thanking them and appreciating them. The actress also goes on to describe motherhood as a role without any promotions and little gratitude. Of course, if we are lucky, our children will recognize and appreciate our efforts !
Preity wrote, “Sadly, we only start appreciating our mothers when we step into that role. So here’s a big shout out to all the mothers out there. The single ones, the working ones and the ones who devote all their time at home looking after their kids n families. It’s really a job where there are no promotions, no time off & very little gratitude.”

These days Preity maintains a low profile and is active on social media. She was recently upset with the paparazzi who were following her while she was on her way to a salon in Mumbai. She’s presently in India for filming Lahore 1947; an upcoming project. As the mob of photographers came near her to take pictures, the actress looked visibly scared. She however gracefully posed for the paps before entering the place.
