The Citadel star said that she went from one relationship to the other. It had become self destructive. She realised that she had to choose herself first over others.
“I reached a point in my life where I was like, what the f**k are you doing? Like, this is getting self-destructive at this point when I had to choose me, I had to be like I don't owe no one anything except my family and myself, the people who truly love me.”
She also felt invisible in relationships. “When you’re in relationships, you stop recognizing who you are, you stop having your own identity, or you stop knowing what it is that you want by yourself or what your goals are then you’re invisible.”
The actress expressed that she dated actors who worked on the sets with her. She had an idea of what a relationship should be like and she tried to fit everyone into her idea of a relationship. PeeCee has admitted that she has dated some wonderful people even though the relationships ended badly. The actress has been linked to Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Harman Baweja in the past.
The star however is all praise for her husband Nick Jonas. She says that her husband makes her feel seen and heard. He thrives on seeing her shine. “You don’t want to be with a guy that dims your shine”, she says. Chopra admitted that she and Nick have an amazing partnership.
Kudos to Priyanka Chopra for her honesty and frankness despite reaching heights of success. She makes an amazing role model for all women out there when expressing what a relationship should be like. The actress emphasises that a relationship shouldn’t make you feel invisible. One should retain their identity.
