R'Bonney Nola Gabriel from USA is Crowned Miss Universe 2023

R'Bonney Nola Gabriel from the USA was crowned the 71st Miss Universe 2023 which was held in New Orleans on Saturday evening.

Miss Universe 2022 Harnaaz Sandhu crowned R'Bonney Nola Gabriel at the pageant. 

The winner exhibited poise, confidence and grace in a shimmering blue dress with a plunging neckline. 

Miss Venezuela Amanda Dudamel and Miss Dominican Republic Andreina Martinez won the first runner-up and second runner up respectively. 

Miss Curacao, Gabriela Dos Santos, and Miss Puerto Rico, Ashley Carino, were the top five finalists.

R'Bonney Nola Gabriel is a fashion designer by profession. She is also the CEO of her own sustainable clothing line.

She won people’s hearts with her graceful answers in the question and answer round. 

Gabriel was asked how she would work to demonstrate Miss Universe as “an empowering and progressive organisation” if she were to win.

“I would use it to be a transformational leader.” She gave a reference of the nature of her own work in the world of fashion designing. 

“I use fashion as a force for good.” She spoke about the usage of recycled materials in her area of work and how she teaches victims of human trafficking and domestic violence to sew. 

“It is so important to invest in others, invest in our community, and use your unique talent to make a difference. We all have something special, and when we plant those seeds (in) other people in our life, we transform them, and we use that as a vehicle for change," replied R'Bonney Gabriel, Miss USA 2022”, she added.

The official website of Gabriel shows that she’s a former high school volleyball player and a graduate from University of North Texas. She was born in Houston,Texas.
