Despite the shadow of controversy, Kundra, who made his Punjabi debut with Mehr opposite Geeta Basra, appears undeterred. He posted visuals of crowded theatres, appreciation posts from viewers, and behind-the-scenes snippets, signaling confidence amidst his ongoing judicial challenges.

Background and Case Developments

The Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) recently recorded Kundra’s statement in connection with a Rs 60-crore cheating case. According to officials, the 50-year-old businessman was interrogated for over five hours at a discreet venue to sidestep overwhelming media scrutiny.

An investigating officer remarked, "We recorded Kundra's statement today (Monday) and will probably summon him again next week, as many more witnesses need to be verified before the next round of interrogation."

While Kundra has been questioned, Shilpa Shetty, a co-accused in the case, has not been summoned yet, as authorities are still consolidating corroborated evidence.

The complaint, filed by businessman Deepak Kothari (60), director of Lotus Capital Finance Services, alleges that Kundra and Shetty, along with unidentified associates, defrauded him of Rs 60.4 crore in a loan-cum-investment arrangement tied to their now-defunct enterprise, Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd. Following the allegations, police issued Lookout Circulars (LOCs) against both Kundra and Shetty earlier this month.

Professional Front

On the career side, Shilpa Shetty continues to appear as a judge on the popular dance reality show Super Dancer, balancing her television commitments with the ongoing investigations surrounding her family.
