Actress Richa Chaddha has taken a new initiative to sprinkle some positivity through her new Insta page called ‘The Kindry.’ The objective is to highlight “ordinary people doing extraordinary things.”
After all the despairing Covid stories circulating on media, actress Richa Chaddha has taken a new initiative to sprinkle some positivity through her new Insta page called ‘The Kindry.’
The aim to start this new page is to celebrate “unsung” heroes and create a community of empathetic people who will share their stories and help each other. The objective is to highlight “ordinary people doing extraordinary things.”
Richa expressed that ‘The Kindry’ will not be about fluffy pink clouds and unicorns. Neither does she desire to tell people to stay positive and ignore the painful reality. Her new Insta page will be about incidents that happen around us and don’t get amplified enough.
In a statement, Richa said, “With ‘The Kindry’, I intend to help find relief in a pent-up nation of people. By amplifying stories of courage and selflessness and celebrating unsung heroes via social media lives, interviews, etc on the page, I believe we can create a community of empathetic people who are also willing to share stories and help each other.”

At a time when the nation is gripped with fear and sadness, Richa’s initiative to spread kindness and empathy is a warm welcome.
The page will be handled by Richa herself and the co-founder of ‘The Kindry’ Krishan Jagiya. She’s not only creating the page but also aiming at crowd funding to provide financial help to individuals who require support.
“Through this page, we’d also look at crowd funding partnerships to possibly provide aid and encouragement to heroes. Apart from this, we’d even like to create content — short films, feature films, songs, podcasts — that inspire empathy not just to Indians but to the whole world. Over time, I hope this will build a society where people are encouraged to be kinder to one another,” said Chadha.
Anyone can join thekindry community and share real life stories of heroes around them.
“We must deliberately amplify the good, to ease the pain of real news. It is clear that what will see us through this phase, is the kindness of strangers”, the actress said in a statement.
