New Delhi: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is ringing in his 55th birthday today, and his wife, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, made sure to add her signature quirk to the celebration. Taking to social media, she shared a symbolic post with a picture of a lion, captioned: "To our Lion...Happy birthday, darling husband...SAKP." The endearing message reflected both admiration and strength, qualities often associated with the actor.

The Attack That Shook Bollywood

Earlier this year, on January 16, 2025, Saif Ali Khan survived a harrowing ordeal when he was stabbed six times by an unidentified intruder at his Mumbai residence. The attack left him with injuries to his spine, neck, and hands. The incident escalated into a confrontation between the actor and he assailant, after which Saif had to undergo a complex 2.5-hour neurosurgery and additional reconstructive treatment at Lilavati Hospital.

Kareena Kapoor Khan on Coping with Trauma

In a candid conversation with journalist Barkha Dutt, Kareena Kapoor Khan opened up about the emotional aftermath. She admitted, "We still haven't come to terms with it 100%, at least I haven't. Just the fear... I was very anxious in the first couple of months, and it was difficult to sleep and get back to normalcy. The memory fades more and more; it's there in your gut, it will always be there."

Describing her struggles, she further said, "It's wrong to put that stress on them. It's been a tough journey to manoeuvre from anxiety to balancing the fact that I am a mother and I am also a wife, because at the same time, my husband was stabbed. I'm happy, blessed, and thankful to god."

Kareena also reflected on resilience, adding, "We're stronger as a unit. I hope my boys will grow up to be a different kind of resilient because they've seen their father being attacked. My little one still says, 'My father is Iron Man and he can take over anyone'. So, in our eyes, Saif is Iron Man. Trauma will make them a different kind of man.”
