Samsung Unveils Galaxy Event Date with Project Moohan at the Helm of Its AI Revolution

Samsung has officially announced the date for its highly anticipated Galaxy hardware launch event, where it plans to reveal a groundbreaking line of artificial intelligence (AI) native devices. Leading the showcase is the much-discussed Project Moohan, Samsung’s first extended reality (XR) headset. Initially teased at a Galaxy event in 2024, this innovation marks a significant leap into the immersive tech ecosystem. Though technical details remain largely undisclosed, Project Moohan is expected to incorporate multimodal AI capabilities and operate on Android XR, Google’s avant-garde platform engineered to harmonize augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and AI functionalities.

According to Samsung’s newsroom update, the focal point of the evening will be the launch of its AI-native product lineup, spearheaded by Project Moohan. The device is reportedly the first to be developed entirely for the open, adaptive, and scalable Android XR platform, co-created with Google.

The XR headset is set to feature state-of-the-art displays, passthrough capabilities, and multi-modal input support. Reports indicate the headset may weigh around 545 grams, putting it in close competition with Apple’s Vision Pro. Interestingly, Project Moohan is only a codename, and the final consumer-ready version might launch under a different moniker. Previously showcased at Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona, the device’s aesthetic silhouette and ergonomic design seem reminiscent of Apple’s offering, signaling a fierce new chapter in the techno-symbiotic race for XR dominance.
