Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella recently shared five ChatGPT-5 prompts that he uses daily to strengthen his productivity as both an executive leader and manager. In a post on X, he illustrated howthese carefully crafted prompts help streamline tasks lik meeting preparation, project tracking, and time management, showcasing the expansive role artificial intelligence can play in leadership.

"It's been a few weeks since we brought GPT-5 to Microsoft 365 Copilot, and it's quickly become part of my everyday workflow, adding a new layer of intelligence spanning all my apps. Here are 5 prompts that show what's now possible," Nadella wrote.

The five prompts are designed to convert routine processes into actionable insights:

"Based on my prior interactions with [/person], give me 5 things likely top of mind for our next meeting."

This prompt uses historical emails, chats, and meetings to predict a colleague’s priorities. It works almost like a form of prolepsis, anticipating concerns, unresolved queries, or strategic interests. By doing so, leaders can enter discussions better prepared, reducing improvisation.

"Draft a project update based on emails, chats, and all meetings in [/series]: KPIs vs. targets, wins/losses, risks, competitive moves, plus likely tough questions and answers."

 Here, Copilot synthesizes dispersed data to create a consolidated project overview. It maps KPIs against objectives, highlights triumphs and setbacks, and even formulates possible responses to stakeholder scrutiny. This transforms raw data into lucidic summaries.

"Are we on track for the [Product] launch in November? Check eng progress, pilot program results, risks. Give me a probability."

 This query functions like a risk barometer. By blending engineering updates, pilot results, and risk analysis, it generates a probabilistic score. Such a method ensures accountability while offering an ontic snapshot of project reality.

"Review my calendar and email from the last month and create 5 to 7 buckets for projects I spend most time on, with % of time spent and short descriptions."

 This acts as a personal chronometer. Copilot audits schedules and correspondence, creating categories of time investment. The outcome reveals patterns, potential dysmetria (imbalances), and whether efforts align with larger objectives.

"Review [/select email] + prep me for the next meeting in [/series], based on past manager and team discussions."

 From a single email, Copilot extracts context and cross-references past dialogues to prepare a briefing. It ensures leaders are well-oriented, avoiding ataraxia (mental unrest) before crucial meetings.
