Selena Gomez has reportedly left rehab. The star was hospitalized after suffering an alleged emotional breakdown last month, but according to reports, she has been released from the therapy center that she had been into.

As per source, Selena is out of her treatment program that is situated in NYC and is doing much better at the current stage. “She is back with a fresh mind and is in a better headspace. However, for precautions, she will still be checking in with professionals as her health battle is ongoing.”

As per sources, for now, she wants to lay low for a while and isn’t ready to go full force into working yet. At the time of her rumored hospitalization, it was in the news that Selena has been dealing with depression for some time, and she and the people who are are close to her have always kept an eye to take care of her. She is in special care after her kidney replacement operation.

The singer reportedly received dialectical behavior therapy at the East Coast psychiatric facility where she stayed.

She underwent a kidney transplant last year to combat the disease lupus and recently revealed the procedure has made her take hard decisions of her life and she decided to move out of Los Angeles to bid goodbye to worries and remove stress from her life.

She said inspiring all, "I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks, and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their challenges.”

She said that she wants to be proactive always and stay very much focused on maintaining good health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off. Selena thanked all her fans and well-wishers for the support and kind words. She said, “You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their issues”.

Gomez is the producer of the hit Netflix show 13 Reasons Why. The show has caused a considerable amount of controversy since it has been released on the streaming service. There was criticism due to the graphic depiction of suicide and supposed failure to address some issues regarding the problems of depression that is prevalent amongst the youth. This is a story based on Jay Asher’s 2007 novel. Featuring Selena Gomez as an executive producer of the show, '13 Reasons Why' tells the story of a Hannah Baker, a 17-year-old girl.

The story revolves as Hannah takes her own life, leaving a box of tapes explaining her reasons why before Clay Jensen listens through them all in his attempt to come to terms with her death. The father of a young girl who took her own life after binge-watching the show recently called for it to be scrapped.
