Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra Jonas Likely to Reunite in ‘Don 3’ after 15 Years

The much-anticipated Don 3 is steadily building buzz, with exciting developments confirming that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will make a cameo appearance in the upcoming film.
While Ranveer Singh takes over the titular role in this rebooted installment, reports suggest that Khan—who immortalized the modern-day Don in the 2006 and 2011 films—will return for a special appearance, bringing both nostalgia and star power to the new chapter.
According to a report in India Today, director Farhan Akhtar personally approached SRK with the script. The source revealed, “Not much is known about the part. However, Farhan Akhtar reportedly reached out to SRK, and narrated the character and the story around him. While the superstar is busy with King at the moment, given their close association, he's agreed to do it.”
Khan's return, even in a limited capacity, is expected to thrill fans of the franchise. The original Don was rebooted in 2006 with Shah Rukh Khan stepping into Amitabh Bachchan’s iconic shoes, followed by Don 2 in 2011. With nearly 15 years since the last film, his cameo marks a symbolic passing of the torch to Ranveer Singh, who leads Don 3.
Meanwhile, the film's female lead is also making headlines. Kiara Advani was initially cast but had to opt out as she is preparing for motherhood. Sources indicate that National Award-winning actress Kriti Sanon is likely to replace her, although an official announcement is still awaited.
Adding to the speculation, the makers are reportedly eager to bring back Priyanka Chopra Jonas to reprise her role as Roma. If confirmed, Don 3 would reunite Chopra and Khan on screen for the first time in 15 years, offering fans a double dose of nostalgia and excitement.
Directed by Farhan Akhtar, Don 3 is expected to be an action-packed thriller that aims to reinvigorate the iconic franchise with a fresh cast and gripping storyline.
The film is expected to begin production in early 2026, with a potential release later that year.
