Shiloh Shepherd Dog Tinsley Hailed a Hero for This Miraculous Act

A New Hampshire dog has been hailed a hero after its most intelligent and courageous act!

The Shiloh Shepherd dog named Tinsley was spotted running on the New Hampshire highway in Vermont late Monday. 

Many motorists saw the dog running and alerted the police. When the police finally spotted it, the clever dog kept coercing them as if it was leading them to an important location. 

“They could tell the dog was trying to show them something because she kept trying to get away from them but didn't run away totally,” New Hampshire police officer Daniel Baldassarre told local news channel WCVB.

When they reached the spot, led by Tinsley, they were in disbelief! 

“It was kind of, 'Follow me. Follow me.' And they did that and, to their surprise, to see the guardrail damaged and to look down to where the dog is looking at, they were almost in disbelief.”

“It quickly became apparent that Tinsley led (law enforcement) to the crash site and injured occupants,” New Hampshire police said in a statement on their Facebook page.

They discovered a badly damaged pick up truck that had rolled over. Two people who were thrown over were suffering from hypothermia. One of them was Tinsley’s owner Cam Laundry. 

Medical and rescue services were called in immediately to rescue the injured. Tinsley sat right next to its owner calmly while he was receiving his medical care, said Captain Jack Hedges of the Hartford fire department. 

The owner Cam Laundry said that Tinsley would be rewarded with venison for exhibiting such a high degree of intelligence. 

“She's my little guardian angel”, Cam Laundry told WCVB. 

“It's a miracle that she had that kind of intelligence to do what she did”, he added. 

Tinsley’s brave and spontaneous act of saving his owner validates the popular saying that a dog is indeed a man’s best friend.
