Shots Fired at Rihanna’s Los Angeles Home; Suspect Charged with Attempted Murder

Authorities have charged a Florida woman with attempted murder after she allegedly fired multiple gunshots outside the Los Angeles residence of global music icon Rihanna late last week. The incident has raised concerns about celebrity safety and prompted increased security around the singer’s home.

According to investigators, the shooting occurred on the evening of March 8, 2026, when the suspect reportedly arrived outside the property and fired several rounds toward the gate and exterior of the residence. At the time of the incident, Rihanna, her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, their children, and other family members were inside the home.

Police confirmed that approximately ten shots were fired during the attack. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Authorities say the gunfire struck areas outside the property but did not penetrate the living spaces where the family was staying.

Law enforcement officials later arrested a 35-year-old woman identified as Ivanna Lisette Ortiz of Florida. Prosecutors have charged her with attempted murder and several firearm-related offenses. If convicted, she could face significant prison time.

Investigators believe the suspect traveled from Florida to Los Angeles before the incident. Authorities are examining her online activity after reports surfaced that she posted unusual messages about Rihanna on social media in the days leading up to the shooting. Officials have not yet confirmed a clear motive for the attack.

The incident has reportedly left Rihanna and her family shaken, though sources say they are safe. Security measures around the property have since been strengthened while the investigation continues.

Rihanna, a Barbados-born singer, entrepreneur, and one of the most influential figures in global pop music, has not yet publicly commented on the shooting.

The case remains under investigation, and the suspect is expected to appear in court in the coming days as prosecutors move forward with formal charges.
