Sonam Kapoor has taken to Twitter to give details regarding a bad encounter with an Uber driver in London. In the early hours of Thursday, the actress tweeted that the experience has left her “shaken” and described it as the “scariest experience.”
She requested her fans to use the local transport in London instead of using Uber cabs. Replying to a tweet posted by blogger and columnist Priya Mulji, Sonam tweeted, “The driver was unstable and was yelling and shouting. I was shaking by the end of it.”
Here’s the tweet:
Many users tweeted in support of Sonam. A rep from Uber then replied to Sonam saying, “Sorry to hear about this, Sonam. Can you please send us a DM with your email address and mobile so we can look into this?”
To this Sonam replied, “I tried complaining on your app, and just got multiple disconnected replies by bots. You guys need to update your system. The damage is done. There is nothing more you can do.”
When Sonam tweeted the above lines, she again got back the same message from Uber as before. A surprised Sonam then responded by only posting a bot emoji.
This is not the first time that the actress has had a bad experience in London. She has faced difficulties with British Airlines too. Sonam who travels to London on a regular basis said that of three times that she’s traveled by British Airways, she’s lost her luggage twice. “This is the third time I’ve traveled @British_Airways this month and the second time they’ve lost my bags. I think I’ve learnt my lesson. I’m never flying @British_Airways again”, she wrote.
