Sourav Ganguly Shares Cryptic Post Hinting at 'Starting Something Today'

Sourav Ganguly posted a cryptic tweet on Twitter that has everyone guessing his next move. Ganguly, who currently heads the BCCI and has been a successful captain for India, had recently met Indian home minister Amit Shah at his residence in Kolkata.

"Today, I am planning to start something that I feel will probably help a lot of people. I hope you continue your support as I enter this chapter of my life," Sourav Ganguly tweeted. The development comes amid speculation that he may take the political plunge.

Ganguly became the BCCI president in late 2019 and continues to hold the position. In his update on Twitter, there was no mention of his next move, where he heads, or whether he has resigned from the position.

Before heading BCCI, Ganguly was the president of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) for five years.

Last month, Ganguly met West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and requested her to provide the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) an alternative land to construct a stadium instead of the one given to it.
