Stalker Kills 16 Year Old Girl with an Axe in Delhi

The attacker named Pradeep was a 21-year-old boy who was stalking her for months. He was a resident of Delhi’s Moti Bagh area and he was unemployed.
The girl informed her father when she lost patience with him after being harassed for a long time. The father who is also a watchman slapped Pradeep and warned him to keep away from his daughter.
Feeling humiliated, Pradeep decided to seek revenge and according to the police he purchased an axe from RK Puram.
On Monday, which happened to be her birthday, while she was heading home, he struck the girl’s face with the axe. The girl suffered an injury near her eyebrow.
The class 11 girl didn’t survive the unfortunate incident despite undergoing surgery.
“Her body was sent for autopsy and a forensics team conducted a detailed inspection of the crime spot,” said a senior police officer.
“I was at the shop when I received the information. My father runs an electric shop and we have a fruit shop also. She used to sit in the shop from 10 am to 2 pm every day. The accused used to harass my sister and also said that he will kill her before her birthday,” the girl's sister said, according to PTI.
After searching for Pradeep in all possible hideouts they finally found him in his sister’s house in Palwal. He was arrested from his sister’s house within 12 hours of committing the crime.
“During interrogation, Pradeep confessed that he attacked the girl to take revenge as he felt humiliated after being slapped by her father. He has been booked for murder. His past involvements are being verified”, an officer said.
