Stoneman Douglas High School Girls’ Basketball Team Forfeits Playoff Game After Gun Shooting

Stoneman Douglas High School’s Girls’ Basketball team has announced to forfeit the playoff match declaring the end of this season.

After this Florida School Shooting where 17 were Killed by 19 Year-Old Gunman Nikolas Cruz, the entire region is still living under the shock of it. The mass shooting took place on 14th February, and the playoff match was scheduled on the next day, 15th February.

One of the players of the girls’ basketball team, Maddy Wilford was critically injured, fortunately she is gradually recovering.

This is extremely disastrous that such a deadly mass shooting occurred on a day which is celebrated for love, Valentine's Day 2018! Teenagers, young generation who wait eagerly to celebrate the day, are utterly spoiling the spirit of love via growing keenness towards guns and terroristic activities.

Recently, a Teenage Girl was Charged for Shooting Threat to Ennis School. In fact, different states of the nation are now coming across fake shooting threats targeting schools.

It is quite unfortunate for the Parkland Florida school, Stoneman Douglas that had to announce this sudden forfeit. Are guns going to end all the gaming happiness and playfulness? Questions are have not yet found answers!
