Supermodel Gigi Hadid Arrested for The Possession of Marijuana
As per a news report, Gigi Hadid was reportedly held for the possession of marijuana during her vacation in the Cayman Islands.
American supermodel Gigi Hadid was recently arrested for possession of Marijuana.
When Gigi arrived at the Cayman Islands with her friend in a private plane, officials searched her luggage. They found “ganja and utensils used for the consumption of ganja”, local outlet Cayman Marl Road reported.
Gigi Hadid and her friend were arrested on “suspicion of Importation of Ganja and Importation of Utensils used for the consumption of ganja," the outlet reports.
They pleaded guilty in court on July 12.
They were taken to the Prisoner Detention Center but later were released on bail. They were fined $1,000.
Gigi Hadid’s representative said, “Gigi was traveling with marijuana purchased legally in NYC with a medical license.”
“It has also been legal for medical use in Grand Cayman since 2017. Her record remains clear and she enjoyed the rest of her time on the island.”
The model posted the latest pictures of her holiday in Cayman Islands captioning it, “All's well that ends well.”
