Syrian Father Plays Laughing Game with Daughter in War Torn Syria

We’ve heard the wise and common saying- “Laughter will always be the best medicine.” This saying almost holds for this father and daughter duo too.
A touching video of a young Syrian girl laughing along with her father after she hears explosions has caught the attention of social media users the world over.
In the video, the father asks his daughter whether she hears a plane or a shell outside. “A shell”, she replies. He tells her that they’ll start laughing as soon as it drops. And she does just that. When they do hear the sound, they both burst into laughter. “Its very funny, right?” the father asks her and the child says “yes.”
The video is bittersweet as it highlights the innocence of the little girl when she starts laughing hearing the noise of a warplane or an explosion. She isn’t aware of the seriousness of the war situation. At the same time, it is disturbing to learn that a father has to use humor to take away the seriousness of a huge problem.
The father has used a painful situation and turned it into a game to help his daughter cope up with the misery in the war-torn country.

The Syrian man and the young girl have found a way out in the face of adversity. They’ve discovered the best alternative to their problems, at least for the moment.
