The Bromance between Kanye West and President Trump Increased, West Made It Clear on Twitter

The bromance between Kanye West and President Trump has increased as West made it clear to his fans in his tweets. In a number of tweets, West has called Trump ‘My brother’. In the tweet he wrote, “He is my brother. I love everyone. I don't agree with everything anyone does. That's what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought."

Trump thought West’s tweets about him were cool. He retweeted West’s posts and wrote, "Thank you Kanye, very cool!"

Following these tweets, West went on to talk about different topics.

He tweeted that he makes more money from shoes than Michael Jordan.

He praised his ping pong skills saying  "I'm nice at ping pong,"

He also informed his fans that he had split with his manager Scooter Braun, tweeting, "I can't be managed".

West's wife - Kim Kardashian West, with whom he has three children - later defended her husband on Twitter, who was criticised by fans for praising Mr. Trump.

She wrote: "Kanye will never run in the race of popular opinion and we know that and that's why I love him and respect him and in a few years when someone else says the same exact thing but they aren't labelled the way he is and you will all praise them! Kanye is years ahead of his time."

The rapper has "always been expressive", she added, but went on to suggest she may not be a fan of the President, writing "most people (including myself) have very different feelings & opinions about this".

West, 40, posted a series of pro-Trump tweets, including a photo of himself wearing one of the president's red "Make American Great Again" hats.

West's wife, Kim Kardashian-West, quickly came to his defense after his tweets sparked online backlash.

"To the media trying to demonise my husband let me just say this... your commentary on Kanye being erratic & his tweets being disturbing is actually scary. So quick to label him as having mental health issues for just being himself when he has always been expressive is not fair," she tweeted.

West, who met Mr. Trump in December 2016 after he won the presidential election, tweeted earlier on Wednesday that he shares "dragon energy" with the president, adding that Mr. Trump was his "brother".

He shared a photo of one of the president's signature campaign "Make America Great Again" hats, which was signed by Mr. Trump.

West also criticised Mr. Trump's predecessor Barack Obama - a fellow Chicagoan - saying he was "in office for eight years and nothing in Chicago changed".

The comments angered some Twitter users, who quoted one of West's songs from his 2016 album, The Life of Pablo, saying "I miss the old Kanye".

"Kanye doesn't care about black people," tweeted comedian Akilah Hughes.

But Kardashian-West dismissed her husband's critics, pointing out that he has always been someone who speaks his mind.

Chance the rapper came to West's defense tweeting that he was "in a great space and not affected by folks tryna question his mental or physical health".

Mr. West also posted a clarification per his wife's advice, saying the only person he completely agrees with himself

Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, and The Weeknd have all unfollowed Kanye West after he tweeted his support of Donald Trump last night, according to @BenjaminEnfield aka 24/7 HipHop News.

Whether they followed him in the first place is unclear, however, according to Does Follow, an external website that scrapes Twitter data, none of them are currently following West.

West shared an image of himself wearing a pro-Trump “Make America Great Again” cap while standing next to music executive Lyor Cohen and the CEO of Universal Lucian Grainge. Later, the rapper revealed that the hat was signed by President Trump himself.

The tweet storm, which also included a dig at Barack Obama and a tweet referring to Tim Cook and Trump as “2 of my favorite people,” shocked many of West’s fans and peers and potentially lost the rapper more than 9 million Twitter followers.

Rap superstar Kanye West has called US President Donald Trump his "brother", adding: "The mob can't make me not love him."

In a barrage of tweets to more than 18 million followers, the 40-year-old wrote: "

He is my brother. I love everyone. I don't agree with everything anyone does. That's what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought."

Mr. Trump retweeted West's post, writing: "Thank you Kanye, very cool!"

A second of West's tweets, a photo of a signed Make America Great Again hat (MAGA), was retweeted by the President, who added: "MAGA!"

The bright red hats are sometimes worn by supporters of Mr. Trump.

West met the then president-elect in December 2016. He told reporters that during his meeting with Mr. Trump in 2016 they talked about "life".

The rapper, who has three children with his wife Kim Kardashian West, added: "If your friend jumps off the bridge you don't have to do the same. Ye being Ye is a fight for you to be you."

"For people in my life the idea of Trump is pretty much a 50 50 split but I don't tell a Hillary supporter not to support Hillary, I love Hillary too."

He later posted: "My wife just called me and she wanted me to make this clear to everyone. I don't agree with everything Trump does. I don't agree 100% with anyone but myself."

West also fuelled speculation that he had split with his manager Scooter Braun, tweeting: "I can't be managed."
